About the Job

We're looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d) to join the team in our portfolio company. In this role, you will join the mission of building a global supply chain and taking responsibility for the acquisition, retention and optimisation of the supplier base, product portfolio and pricing strategies.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Source new suppliers to support the company's expansion into new markets and new product categories
  • Manage relationships with existing suppliers; employing best practices throughout onboarding, negotiation and contracting
  • Purchase, contract and deliver 7-digit deals on a weekly basis; demonstrating a high level of professionalism, operational excellence and analytical skill
  • Optimise processes across our supply chain to deal with 10x growth in purchase volume over the next 12-months
  • Develop understanding of pricing trends through market research, and present these insights to optimize our sales and purchasing strategy

Your Profile

  • Graduate degree in business economics, supply chain management, (industrial) engineering, business administration, informatics, or a quantitative field
  • Minimum 2 years work experience; experience in Sales, Purchasing or Supply Chain related functions is preferred
  • Fluency in German and English. Any other language as a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both internally with stakeholders and externally in contracting, negotiating, and conflict management with vendors
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and experienced in RFQ evaluation, forecasting, planning, and risk management

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
