About the Job
We’re looking for a motivated Junior Finance & Controlling Manager (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies. In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on streamlining financial processes, implementing effective controlling systems, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with internal and external financial standards.
Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.
In this role, you’ll:
- Prepare financial reports, KPIs and presentations for C-Level and investor reporting
- Oversee the process of and ensure smooth cooperation with the company’s external tax office
- Develop measures and provide guidance to the organisation to optimise net working capital potential
- Lead, coordinate, steer and monitor forecast and budget processes
- Continuously improve financial processes while creating and documenting structures that streamline workflows, save time, and foster transparency
Typical tasks:
- Support bookkeeping by managing pre-accounting through recording and processing financial transactions with our portfolio company’s Spend Management tool
- Keep an eye on achieving revenue and profitability goals within agreed spendings
- Track, analyse and report Plan / Actual variances
- Prepare liquidity planning reports and communicate cash balance and cash flow to management
- Monitor and analyse cash flow via Agicap
Your Profile
- First working experience (internships or full-time) in a fast-growing environment/company
- Strong interest in Finance and Controlling with an eagerness to learn and grow in the field
- Good understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with financial tools is a plus
- Proactively take initiative and ownership for projects and processes
- Hands-on mentality, structured and organised, and enjoy working operationally
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English (required); knowledge of German is advantageous
Please note that we’re looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
