About the Job

We are looking for a Senior IT System Administrator (m/f/d) to ensure the smooth operation, stability, and security of our IT systems while acting as the primary point of contact for IT support across the organization.

In this role, you will manage and optimize IT operations, supporting employees, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving IT workflows. You will work across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, manage device security and network performance, and implement automation processes to enhance IT efficiency.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide reliable and effective IT support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Be the go-to person for IT inquiries, ensuring a smooth user experience with minimal disruptions
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, email, collaboration tools, and security policies
  • Implement and oversee device management solutions, using Jamf Pro for macOS and Microsoft Intune for Windows and mobile devices
  • Monitor and resolve IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely responses and clear communication with users
  • Assist with onboarding and off-boarding of employees, setting up laptops, accounts, and permissions
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, FAQs, and knowledge bases to empower users with self-service solutions
  • Support IT operations in critical environments, such as cleanrooms and semiconductor facilities, ensuring compliance and security
  • Proactively identify recurring IT issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and user experience
  • Automate simple IT tasks where possible to improve workflows and reduce repetitive manual work

Your Profile

  • Strong experience in IT system administration and end-user support, helping employees with IT-related issues
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, including account management, security settings, and collaboration tools
  • Good understanding of network basics, including troubleshooting Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity issues
  • Strong communication skills, with a friendly and solution-oriented approach to IT support
  • A hands-on, service-oriented mindset, eager to help users and improve IT processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively across teams
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical employees
  • Fluency in English written and spoken, German is a plus

Please note that we are looking for support in the Aachen office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
