About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Equipment Installation and Process Engineer (m/f/d) with deep expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), dielectric, and metal deposition to join the Semiconductor FAB team at our partner company.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading equipment installation and optimization projects, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of deposition tools, and driving innovation in semiconductor manufacturing. You'll play a critical role in scaling up ALD and metal deposition capabilities, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve process performance.

In this role, you’ll:
- Lead the installation and commissioning of ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition equipment, ensuring operational readiness and technical compliance
- Provide hands-on technical support for troubleshooting and resolving deposition equipment issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance
- Collaborate with process engineering teams to drive equipment upgrades and process improvements for better yield and efficiency
- Conduct regular audits and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including installation protocols, maintenance schedules, and training materials
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, contributing to knowledge-sharing and team development
- Stay up-to-date on the latest ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the FAB
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition equipment
- Proven expertise in the installation, operation, and maintenance of deposition tools (e.g., CVD, PVD)
- Strong understanding of deposition techniques and material properties related to ALD and metal/dielectric films
- Proficiency in data analysis and process control tools (e.g., Statistical Process Control - SPC)
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide technical training
- Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards in semiconductor manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Please note that we are looking for support in the Aachen office of our partner company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
